Yellow Peril

So apparently they just might ban TikTok and in doing so show it's all about control of information (and they don't want to regulate it, but just have complete control of watching you). Just so you know what's up, this isn't about national security or safety of the people. Otherwise, this news, the ever dropping life expectancy, would be foremost on their minds.

Two years difference in life expectancy probably comes from the fact that firearms are so available in the United States," Crimmins says. "There's the opioid epidemic, which is clearly ours – that was our drug companies and other countries didn't have that because those drugs were more controlled. Some of the difference comes from the fact that we are more likely to drive more miles. We have more cars," and ultimately, more fatal crashes.

There's a sickness out there, friends. Note how the car is an issue. But talk about changing our cities, about maybe making them less car centric and all you get are screams and now the 15min city (which means you can walk to things you need) has conspiracy nutters (because conspiracy theories usually make sense) screaming about government control. While, mind you, the government can actually take more control and surveillance with the latest TikTok craze, and no one screams about that. One really does wonder if those screams are just manufactured.

Oh and there's this:

even though people older than 75 are the only age group in the country that already does comparatively well.
Wow, all those internets screaming about the gerontocracy weren't lying, were they?

Still, that people are so willing to turn their attention from actual government power grabs and to some perceived lifestyle "attack" shows some of the sickness out there. Hard to grasp, but sometimes it really is like it's a mad dance being orchestrated.
